Aladdin Venetian Art Craft
WOW the color and design is better than I could have imagined once I pulled this out of the shipping box. Warner and I have such fun sharing and collecting the beautiful works of Glass, Never again will we see this type of American Craft created. If we could come up with a forum for the next collectors gathering on the design process how these particular lamps were created....interesting. Bob Daniels, you're on my calling list! If anyone knows he will get me pointed to the proper channels.

Perfect for the New Year
Philippians 4:8 (ESV) “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” But just as important as the power of focusing on “anything worthy of praise” is what Paul writes just prior to this when he explains how we are able to see the beauty: “Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.” Philippians 4:7 (CEV)

Aquiring a taste for Venison
Venison Corn Bake
(adapted from a recipe from the NWTF Women in the Outdoors Magazine)
1 lb venison (brown and drain)
1 small onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 small container of sour cream
1 package of frozen yellow corn (thawed)
½ package of egg noodles (cooked and drained)
1 sleeve of Ritz crackers
Salt & pepper to taste
I added Marjoram and Thyme, probably a teaspoon of each; 2 spices my family likes
Mix all above ingredients in a large casserole dish; add crushed Ritz crackers (or topping of choice). Bake covered at 375-degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover 5 minutes before removing from oven.
(I put this together tonight in a buttered casserole dish. We typically don't do casseroles so this is a pleasant surprise. I sampled of course and so far passes the test. The Corn bake has been covered with foil; and refrigerated and I will heat according to the directions for tomorrows dinner.) Pic to follow once it comes out of the oven.

First Hunt
Today Colton experienced his first outing as a hunter, something he has been wanting to do for quite a while and high school sports don't always allow the time away. The best part of this is that Warner (dad's not a hunter but may change his mind) experienced this with him. The lower picture is neighbor Mike's woods behind his home and he's given Colton lots of advice and assistance getting him started; Mike is the avid hunter with crossbow and muzzleloader.

Aladdin Collectors meet in Richmond IN
Whew!! The week sure passed quickly as did the weekend. Warner and I enjoyed time with the Aladdin Family gathered with collections, treasures and spare parts. Can't get any better than chatting about the hobby and chatting about the kids. What luck this week; Warner purchased a Model 8 font with a shade holder for $30, I found a model 12 Art Craft Vase Lamp in Tan/Peach whick had a electrified burner for under $70. Once we got in Saturday night I took the new to me electrified burner and put it in the red vase lamp to then turn on and show off the poppies shade, and Warner is on the hunt for a hanging frame for the model 8 how fun!
